Nix Tank Company - Making a Difference

Nix Tank Company has been involved in a working group of seven other Atlanta area portable sanitation service companies over the past two years in efforts to make a positive impact on our industry. We have focused on topics such as environmental concerns, waste disposal, cost controls and various other problems facing our industry.

Recently the work group made the move to form a sub section of the Georgia Onsite Waste Water Organization (GOWA). The group's number one focus starting out was to have repealed a recent ruling that would have required all portable restroom companies to charge sales tax on the total amount of our invoices. As you can imagine, this would have placed a large monetary burden unnecessarily on our customers both in the construction industry and our numerious special event customers as the service of a portable restroom is just that...a service an not a rental!

After meeting with representatives from the Georgia Department of Revenue this past August to explain our position and countless emails we have successfully obtained a rulilng that the service of portable restrooms going forward is a non-taxable transaction! This is great news to all of our valued customers here at Nix Tank Company and shows our commitment to work hard for our customers every opportunity we get!
